Musical instruments that are on exhibit include gems from the late Marlowe A. Sigal. This includes over 25 English, European, and American pianos and harpsichords from 1575 to 1815 and over 50 woodwinds from 1700 to the 20th century, as well as dozens of rare world instruments.

Musical instruments that are on exhibit, include gems from two highly-acclaimed collections – that of the late Marlowe A. Sigal, and of Tom Strange, SMM Artistic Director and Curator. This includes over 150 English, European and American pianos and harpsichords from 1575 to 1845 and over 500 woodwinds from 1700 to the 20th century, as well as dozens of rare world instruments and world instruments. We also host special exhibits of culturally significant instruments on loan from other museums and private collections.
