Maalouf will lead a group workshop illuminating several traditional styles of percussion that are not traditionally seen in the western world. Participants will learn about Middle Eastern and Indian rhythms in a hands-on group setting. No experience is necessary and all are encouraged to join!
About Adam Maalouf:
World Percussionist and composer Adam Maalouf is most inspired by uncovering innovative settings for his instruments. Composing with handpan, world percussion, cello, and a variety of other instruments, Maalouf forms an East-West blend bridging his Lebanese-American heritage with his training in classical music, jazz, and world music.
