The Elise C. Sigal Musical Education Program
The Elise C. Sigal Musical Education Program provides unique opportunities for the next generation of musical talent and music lovers. The Musical Education Program honors Elise Sigal’s interest in early music and music education. (She received a degree in Music History from Brandeis University.) The program also honors Elise Sigal’s participation in her husband’s collection of musical instruments.
Education outreach includes:
- Opportunities to study, research, and perform on musical instruments in the collection
- Student trips to the museum to learn about and use musical instruments on display
- Bringing musical instruments and/or presenters to schools or other public places
- Learning materials related to music and musical instruments
There’s no better time than now to support the Elise C. Sigal Musical Education Program — and help expand opportunities for area students. Our Matching Challenge means donations totaling up to $50,000 will be duplicated by a private donor.
Contributions to this fund are invested for use in perpetuity.
The fund was established with an initial gift of $100,000 to launch an endowment.
A donor has offered to match additional donations up to a total of $50,000.
